Albatros 1/1250 Alk125 Strathnaver British Troopship in 1940 Model
One of the famous P&O "white sisters", Stratnaver served as a troopship during WW2. A 1/1250 scale model of the troopship Strathnaver in 1940 by Albatros SM, Alk125. Overall length of model is 16.3cm This model has being given a new production run by Albatros but this time the decks have been painted with a wood effect colour, see photograph
One of her sisters, Strathallan, was torpedoed by U562 in 1942 whilst serving as a troopship in convoy KMF5 and sank but the others survived the war and returned to service with P&O.
