Fitted with the potent S-10S antitank gun, the SU-100 marked a significant advance in combat capability for the Red Army. Mass production began in September 1944 and totalled 2335 by the end of WWII. Dragon Armor has recreated an SU-100 from the 1st Guards Mechanized Corps that saw combat in this theatre. The 1/72 scale model is suitably weathered with tactical markings and a patriotic slogan are scrawled on the superstructure sides. Many tanks and tanks destroyers were daubed with painted slogans, a practice commonly used by Russians to boost morale. In this case, the slogan translates as “The 20th anniversary of Uzbek Sovietsâ€. The destroyer is painted in usual green paint scheme. This is an attractive model and a vital asset to any collection of WWII Russian military vehicles.
