The EZ-Command is ideal for new modellers and easy for children to use, locomotives are selected using push buttons 1-10, a replaceable insert allowing the recording of locomotive details beside each button. Up to 29 decoder function can be activated in function control mode using the same ten buttons. Even more extensive sound equipped locomotives usually have the core sounds and whistle/horn programmed to the low numbered functions, so these can be activated by the EZ-Command.
Basic programming is also very easy, once in programming mode locomotive addresses and default forward direction can be changed at the push of a button. Even experienced DCC operators find the EZ-Command useful for their test-track controller.
Note - Locomotives must be fitted with a DCC decoder to be independently controlled.
The E-Z Command controller is also able to control one analogue locomotive, that is one not fitted with a decoder.
