Bachmann OO 39-654 Virgin Trains Mk2F FO Air Conditioned First Class Coach
New and detailed models of the BR air conditioned express passenger stock built from the early 1970s. BR was one of the first European railways to offer air conditioned accommodation as standard on principal services.
These models are of the Mk.2F coaches, the last of the Mk.2 series build (1973-1975) and almost identical to preceding Mk.2E coaches (1972-73 build), the design changes relating primarily to the air conditioning plant. These two builds formed the backbone of the InterCity locomotive-hauled coach fleet during the 1970s and 80s.
This model of the first class coach with open plan seating is painted in the InterCity red stripe livery. Fitted with DCC controlled interior lighting
Era 8 1982-1994.
