With Poland’s strategic position stuck up against Belarus, so basically up against the Russian Federation in all but name, Poland is increasing its defence spending on heavy AFV more than any one in Europe. In the last few years Poland as ordered over 2000 heavy AFVs including MBT’s and large Self Propelled Guns to complement its already quite large force (700) of Leopard 2 and T72 , Poland has purchased over 1,000 Korean K2 Black Panthers plus 250 M1A2 Abrams plus another 116 on order. Poland has spent similar on 2000 Heavy AFVs then we have spent on 560 Ajax vehicles and the new K2 and Abrams and SP Guns will be in place by the end of 2024.
