The Turbostar was an important commercial success for Iveco. Thanks to its robustness, reliability, and performance, it secured a significant position in the European truck market and became the most widespread industrial vehicle in Italy at the end of the 1980s. It was produced in numerous versions and configurations to meet the precise and specific needs of user companies. Very common—especially for the needs of food logistics—were the insulated and refrigerated cell versions. The vehicle’s configuration and the sturdy twin-wheel rear axle also offered good load capacity and an excellent balance between size and transported cargo volume.
