Stations on branchlines and cross-country routes required only a small engine shed to house the branch or pick-up goods locomotive. This pre-cut printed card kit is ideal to fill this role.
Featuring sturdy construction the kit comes complete with relief window sills and lintels for extra reality. Based on Great Western structures, many of which were built by private companies before formal GWR takeover, the design is generic suggesting a structure built by a local building contractor and will look right on most layouts.
As with all Metcalfe kits the card construction makes it easy to trim the parts to fit a site. A second kit can be added to extend the finished model, for example to accomodate two engines.
