Navis Neptun 1/1250 1204A IJN Yamashiro, a WW1 Battleship as she appeared in WW2

Yamashiro is a Fuso-class battleship after updating before WW2. This is a second-hand, 1/1250 ascale, waterline, metal model made by Neptun, catalogue number 1204a. The model is in very good condition but the original casting has a slight fault around the aircraft-handling crane on the port quarter, see photograph.


She met a spectacular end when faced by a whole fleet of American Battleships in the night action of Suriago Straight, the last battleship gun action of WW2.
