An RAC liveried vehicle on the Bedford CF Van which Bedford – a subsidiary of Vauxhall – had introduced in 1969. The CF was intended to rival the Ford Transit and due to its versatility it was one of the most popular light commercials of its day, lasting in production until 1986.It came with longitudinal front engine, rear wheel drive and transmission of 2/4/5 manual to 3-speed General Motors automatic.
Oxford's CF RAC van features the original RAC colour scheme - a real blast from the past with its rich blue body colour and contrasting white masking to the roof and wide flash along the van sides. A splash of contrasting red printing highlights the Services lettering on the sides and rear of our van, registered OYP 215L. The interior is black and the van is rounded off with an orange roof beacon positioned just behind the cabin windows.
