Ford introduced the fastback Ford Capri Mk I into the UK market in 1968 and it was an instant success. It was designed by Ford’s American designer Philip T Clark who had been instrumental in the development of the Ford Mustang. Say no more! The Capri’s performance, affordability and good looks were to give it cult status. It had a four speed manual gearbox and came with either a 1.3L or 1.6L engine.
Making its fifth appearance in 1:76 scale, our Ford Capri Mk I is decorated in light blue and registered STV 709H from 1969. Exterior trim is applied in silver and chrome with black masking to the front grille. The interior seating is moulded in black, including the dashboard.
