A Royal Mail livery Ford Transit Mk4 brings colour and vibrancy to the series. Spanning the years 2000 to 2006, the Mk4 Ford Transit had been designed in the USA and contained many cutting edge features to bring it into the new millennium.
Oxford's model is registered LC05 MFY from the first half of 2005, a year after Ford incorporated an optional 6-speed manual gearbox to the previous automatic version. It was also the year in which the five millionth Ford Transit rolled off the production line. Other practical options on the MK4 had included petrol or diesel variants, front or rear wheel drive, a lower loading height and more cargo space.
The Royal Mail livery needs no introduction. Its bright Post Office red colour is always a welcome sight with its distinctive yellow printed scheme and the Royal cipher on the sides. All the up to date contact details are printed in white on the sides and the back of the van, which features a dark grey interior. External trim is also finished in dark grey and black.
It’s yet another great addition to Oxford’s extensive Royal Mail fleet across the years.
