The Oxford tooling on the recently introduced Cadillac Miller-Meteor Future Limousine was based on the real vehicle which Cadillac built on a commercial chassis and which they described as an ambulance/hearse. The vehicle featured extravagant tail fins, a high roofline and opening back/rear loading facility. Powered by a 6.3L V8i engine, these cars were converted by Miller-Meteor.
The first Oxford release appeared as a red and white painted ambulance with added roof lights and a roof beacon, together with a louvred effect to the rear side windows.
This time, decorated in bright red with a wealth of exterior chrome work, the model takes on the role of a hearse, complete with white coffin, so the interior has been modified accordingly. Painted on the inside, draped window curtains adorn the rear side windows. The interior of the hearse has dark brown rear flooring. The front seats, dashboard and steering wheel are all moulded black. This unusually colourful hearse is registered as FU301 in Connecticut 59.
Following feedback from collectors and our US distributor, we have identified that the model was incorrectly scaled during development. Whilst the model was designed and released as a 1:87 (HO) model, it is approximately 13% smaller than intended, making it closer to 1:100 scale. Please read the blog here related to this item
