Oxford Diecast 1/87 87NR50002 1950 Nash Rambler Custom Landau Convertible with open roof Champagne Ivory
Oxford have previously launched the 1950 Nash Rambler with a closed top, so for this version it’s great to see the second tooling option displaying the convertible with the hood down. The body is decorated in a pale stone colour scheme with a darker folded down hood. The same dark stone colour scheme is used for the interior floor and seating. The exterior trim is silver and the main body colour is echoed in the trim of the wheels, which also have silver wheel hubs and red Nash lettering. Note too, the fender skirts that enclose the front wheels. The number plate is also painted in the pale stone colour and our Nash Rambler is registered as 1845 293 Ill.1950.
The Nash Rambler was designed by their Chief Engineer to be lighter and smaller than some of its contemporaries to achieve fuel economy and materials. The first year of production in 1950 also saw the launch of the upmarket 2-door fixed-profile convertible Landau of which an amazing 9330 were sold in the first year at a price equivalent to $22,806 today. This prestigious Oxford Landau is worthy of your investment too, so don’t miss out.
