A well designed plastic kit to build a model of the last Midland Railway design goods brake van with plain planked sides. This design was adopted as the first LMS standard design, though soon after the grouping was replaced with a revised version with side lookout duckets added, featured in kit PC49.
The Midland Railway vans remained in service throughout the LMS period and into British Railways ownership until the mid-1950s, with some examples lasting longer as brake/mess vans with the engineering departments.
Glue and paints are required to assemble and complete the model (not included)
