Peco PS-364 Ash Dust Weathering Powder
PS-364 Ash Dust - another powder suitable for the engine shed scene, representing piles and deposits of ash.
Tub of fine weathering powder with a red-ish mix to represent the ashes generated by coal fires in steam engine and locomotive boilers. Around steam-era locomotive sheds ash was spread around the ground wherever it was shovelled out of fireboxes and heaped into piles for disposal by loading into empty loco coal wagons for hauling off to a tip site.
Supplied in a handy screw-top tub for convenient and mess-free handling.
Pecos range of weathering powders can transform the appearance of track and models to give the effect of dirt, grime and brake dust residues settling around rails and track bed. They can also be used to weather rolling stock and buildings, toning-down freshly-painted surfaces to create a more realistic and natural look. Powders can be blended to create alternative colours and weathering effects.
Once applied weathering powder can either be left as-is, or sealed with a suitable matt varnish. Note sealing is recommended for models like trains which will need to be handled.
