Peco N KNR-44 Wagon Kit Butterley Steel Open

The 16 ton steel body mineral wagon was built by a number of private wagon builders starting in the mid-1930s. A number of private owners with large wagon fleets began to purchase the more robust steel wagons, with bulk orders being placed by the Ministry of War Transport during WW2 to increase the capacity of the wagon fleet and replace life-expired ex-private owner wagons which were beyond economic repair.

These wagon and van kits are very quick and easy to assemble. Consisting of a one-piece pre coloured body moulding, chassis, chassis weight, wheels and couplings, they are essentially unpainted, unassembled versions of our famous ready to run range.
