This light jet trainer that was supplied to the RAF from 1976 onwards is recognizable from the raised position of the rear pilot seat, a concept that was subsequently adopted by many manufacturers. This light training and combat aircraft is distinguished by its simple design and manufacture, which made possible a high rate of production and low operating costs and explains the longevity of the machine. The Hawk was designed for air combat and light bombing raids, together with extensive training facilities. Thanks to excellent flying characteristics and extreme manoeuvrability, training can be given on all the flying manoeuvres of larger machines. The RAF "Red Arrows" aerobatic unit has been using the Hawk with success for many years; they are the absolute stars at any air show. The new model kit in large 1:32 scale shows a stunning amount of detail, with separate ailerons and a highly detailed cockpit. The extensive decals allow several Red Arrows machines to be made.
