Slaters Plastikard OO 4042 NER/LNER 20T Wood Body Hopper Kit

The North Eastern Railway equipped many stations with coal drop staithes allowing the efficient use of self-clearing hopper wagons for coal distribution and avoiding wagons being detained for unloading by shovel.
This kit models one of the NER 20 ton wood bodied hopper wagons which ran throughout the LNER period and could still be found running on the railways after nationalisation, with more as internal user wagons with the NCB,
