Spidernavy 1/1250 SN 3-02 HMS Tiger, Helicopter Cruiser, 1977

A 1/1250 scale metal model of HMS Tiger in 1977 as a helicopter cruiser. Tiger was the second and last of the Tiger class cruisers to be converted (1968-72 at Devonport) from the original all gun ships. The large hangar replaced all the rear turrets and taller funnels were fitted (Blake, converted first, received the taller funnels later). Lion was never converted and was broken up in 1975. Tiger went in 1979 and Blake in 1981.
