Efficient single belt-driven 4WD and quick steering response are the calling cards of the midship motor, short wheelbase TA03R-S chassis. Gearboxes front and rear house differentials for smooth cornering, and are sealed to protect the workings from dust and dirt, while high-performance double wishbone suspension employs oil dampers and utilizes dedicated touring car geometry (camber, caster, etc.), plus delta box lower arms for greater reliability.
Developed by Porsche for the 1996 endurance racing season, this car was based upon the 911 (993) with carbon fiber body panels and a midship mounted 600hp 3.2-liter flat-6 twin turbo engine. In addition to three works cars, a number were also said to have been developed for private customers and use upon public roads. This assembly kit creates an R/C model of such a "Street" car, with the sleek, powerful body captured in lightweight polycarbonate and separate parts for the side mirrors and rear wing. Stickers are included to recreate markings, headlights, taillights and more.
