DPD is a familiar name in the parcels delivery business, currently
used by PECO for deliveries, their distinctive red and white vans are a
common sight in the UK.
Peco have teamed up with DPD to produce this
modular warehouse building kit in the Wills Modern range complete with
DPD logos and lettering, replicating a typical local depot that might be
found on industrial estates across the country and quite possibly
adjacent to the railway.
Like the others kits in the range, the
modeller can choose where to place doors and windows, and whether to
build as a stand-alone structure or as a low-relief part-depth backdrop
feature. Unlike our previous kits, this one is supplied with a fully
detailed printed interior, so modellers can construct the building with
doors and shutters open if they wish. There is even an office scene for
the windows! The kit is also supplied with coloured parts, meaning
that painting, whilst desirable for full authenticity, is not
essential.
