The Sturmpanzer IV is a medium-weight German self-propelled artillery unit (SAU) of the assault gun class of the Second World War based on the Panzer IV medium tank. It was used in the battles near Kursk, in Anzio, Normandy, and helped to suppress the uprising in Warsaw.
Serially produced from April 1943, 306 copies were produced before the surrender of Germany. They were distributed among four separate assault tank battalions.
