Dragon previously issued a 1/72 scale kit of the Churchill Mk.IV, but is now following it up with a Mk.III version. To create this earlier mark, many new components such as a turret and auxiliary fuel tank have been newly tooled. The engine details are quite different too. The Churchill Mk.III is beautifully detailed, and it assembles quickly and easily into an accurate model thanks to time-saving elements like one-piece DS tracks and single-piece bogies. For modelers wishing to strengthen their British tank brigades, this is a must-have item, and it perfectly complements Dragon’s Sherman Mk.III, Sherman Firefly and Churchill Mk.IV kits already available

The kit is brilliantly detailed in this 1/72 scale. Slide molds provide major assemblies such as the lower hull and upper compartment. Other details such as the chassis bottom and suspension are depicted, as is the Kongsberg Protector remote weapon station atop the roof and mounting a 12.7mm machine gun. Dragon has produced an all-new 1/72 scale plastic model of a typical-looking vehicle operating with the famous LRDG. The model utilizes brand new toolings, with the chassis made as a single piece. Upon this chassis is assembled a slide-molded front body that has integral fenders and front grill. This single component accurately depicts the well-known front end of this truck type. The rear body is also made as a one-piece component for easy assembly and accurate alignment. The extra-large10.50 x 20 sand tires are crisply detailed, and the appropriate tread pattern is finely replicated. Not long ago, Dragon released a bedazzling 1/6 model of a 1/4-Ton 4x4 Truck as used by the Special Air Service (SAS) in the European Theater of Operations (ETO). Now, Dragon has shrunk the same vehicle down to 1/72 scale, but fortunately without sacrificing any details. The SAS, formed in July 1941 by David Stirling, was a commando force designed to operate deep behind enemy lines, something it did very successfully in North Africa, Italy and Northwest Europe. In fact, in Europe the small band of SAS members inflicted 7,733 German casualties, captured 4,784 prisoners, destroyed 700 vehicles and cut 164 railway lines.

This 1/72 Challenger II kit is fully detailed with the markings of the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR).

Now Dragon presents you this true 1/72 scale Challenger II MBT. The kit is completely new! It features all of the details seen in Iraq last year including the reinforced armor and additional side skirts. Special features included rubber track links and decals by Cartograf.
