A 1/1250 scale model of HMS Triton 2001-05 by Albatros SM Alk320.Albatros's die-cast metal ship miniature of the trimaran trials ship originally built for DERA, now Quineticq for proof of concept for Royal Navy trimaran frigate by Vosper Thornycroft in 2000. On completion of these trials, Triton was sent to Australia in 2005 where she was used to try out the concept of a trimaran customs vessel with a new sensor suite and two RHIBs. The ship, now in Guardine Marine Services ownership returned to the UK and was refitted as a survey vessel with new sensors and extra temporary staff accommodation, new engines and a bow thruster and is currently based in Norfolk.
