Dapol OO GWR 28xx/2884 2-8-0

Release planned for Winter 2024/25.
A new model of the GWRs 28xx class heavy goods 2-8-0 locomotives designed by G J Churchward, these models will incorporate many features from the Dapol 43xx mogul and 78xx Manor class models, including compensated chassis, cam mechanism for leading truck, conductive close-coupling tender drawbar and smokebox DCC and speaker fitting. The bodyshell tooling is designed to allow for both the Churchward 28xx and Collett 2884 type engines with full backhead detailing, straight or curved footplate, inside or outside steam pipe cylinders, alternative smokebox doors, tapered or parallel shank buffers and original or revised style motion support brackets.
This model is finished as locomotive number 2831, completed in 1911, in the GWR lined green livery. We expect this to be the pre-WW1 era livery, the locomotive fitted with taper buffers, inside steam pipe cylinder block, extensive lining and garter crests. (Details TBC).
