A superb model of the BR class 60 heavy freight locomotive in Mainline blue livery.

The centrally mounted motor drives all six axles while the diecast chassis has been carefully designed  to keep the cab interiors clear and provide extra space behind the large bodyside grilles. This has allowed the body structure members and equipment visible through the grilles to be represented very effectively. Roof detailing is also excellent, with good relief around the large exhaust silencer box making this unit stand out. Wire handrails and sanding pipes complete the factory fitted details, while direction controlled lighting really makes the locomotive stand out when running.

Standard N gauge couplers are fitted, a small additional bag is supplied containing the deep headstock plates and ploughs, plus the air brake pipes for modellers wishing to finish their models with these.

60078 is painted in the BR Mainline Freight company blue livery, with rolling wheel logo.

Colas have recently purchased a number of class 60 locomotives from DB Schenker, this model is finished in their bright orange and yellow livery as 60096.

The Graham Farish class 60 models sets a very high standard for detail in N gauge. Careful design of the chassis has allowed the large grilles to retain sufficient depth to show the body structure members and internal equipment, replicating these visible parts on the real locomotives. Drive to both bogies is maintained from a centrally mounted motor, allowing realistic length trains to be hauled.

Era 9. DCC Ready 6 pin decoder required for DCC operation. Directional lighting. NEM plug-in couplers. Length 144mm.
