Originally HMCS Stormont, a Canadian frigate that took part in the Battle of the Atlantic and was present at the D Day landings. Converted after the war by Onassis as a super luxurious private yacht.

The ship is still available for charter today.

Albatros model of the USS Williamsburg, launched from Bath Iron Works, Maine in 1930, became a gun boat in WW2, a presidential yacht from 1945 to 1954 and now languishing for sale in La Spezia, Italy! Quite an extraordinary ship!

This 141m long mega yacht was built from the former Kortenaer 1978-built frigate "Piet Hein "of the Dutch Navy. The frigate's hull was completely gutted and extended and the superstructure was replaced. The rebuilding took place from 2011 to 2014 in Abu Dhabi, with much of the structure made in composite and glass. Speed is 26 knots. The owner is Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. (Brother of the President).

This interesting Motor Yacht NIMET ALLAH was completed 1923 in Kiel for the Khedive of Egypt but sold in 1934 to the Baroness Yvonne Cotnareanu and relocated to Le Havre. 76.5m loa x 10m. 1170t WS, 15kn. Renamed 'Alphée' it served the French Marine until sunk in North Africa in November 1942, later lifted again and in service with the French Navy until 1961.

A second motor yacht was built in 1934 for the Khedives of Egypt, also called "Nimet Allah".

Grille is a 1/1250 scale metal model of the State Yacht of Germany in 1937. This model is made by Albatros SM, catalogue number Alk101-1 and is presented fully assembled and painted by the German maker. The overall length of the Grille model is 11.5cm including the bow sprit.

Albatros has made a speciality of modelling yachts of the rich and famous. Paul Allen's Octopus is equipped as an expedition ship and he has made his yacht available for undersea exploration. In August 2015, her ROV retrieved the bell of HMS Hood, sunk by the German battleship Bismarck in the Denmark Straight between Iceland & Greenland in 1941.

Rising Sun is a sleek and understated super yacht!

A 1/1250 scale metal, assembled and painted metal model of the megayacht"A". This unusual and innovative superyacht was built by Blohm & Voss and commissioned in 2008. Subsequently, it operated in the Med. and was to be seen around Majorca and the Costa Smeralda, Sardinia.

A 1/1250 scale metal, assembled and painted metal model of the megayacht "Dubai". This yacht was built by Blohm & Voss and Platinum Yachts of Dubai. A yacht fit for a Sheikh.

A 1/1250 scale metal, assembled and painted model of Eclipse. The model was introduced by Albatros in December 2010 when Roman Abramovitch's latest supertoy was being built that by Blohm & Voss and Luerssen in Germany. The yacht was removed to Barcelona where the ship was laid up in a covered dock finally emerging about 3 years ago by which time there were larger megayachts being built.

SY Lysistrata was built in 1900 by Wm. Denny & Son for James Gordon Bennett, the owner of the New York Herald. The yacht was turbine-powered with twin screws and was capable of 19.5kt. The owner lived aboard in European waters and ran his newspaper from there. The figurehead was a gold owl with electric-lit eyes, a cow was aboard to provide milk & butter and a De Dion Bouton car was kept on board. In 1916, the yacht was sold to the Russian Navy as an Arctic patrol vessel, "Yaroslavna" and from 1924 was based in Vladivostok for Fishery Protection and re-named "Vorovsky". Out of service for many years after WW2, she was finally scrapped in the mid 1960s. 

1/1250 scale metal model of the super yacht MY Serene 2011 by Albatros AL276.

The 134 metre long Serene was built by Fincantieri in Italy and handed over in 2011, probably to a Russian billionaire. Now reportedly in the ownership of Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud the super yacht boasts 2 helicopters, tenders and a submarine capable of depths of 100m.

Waterline metal 1/1250 model of MY Azzam built in 2013 and currently the largest private yacht at 180 metres long. With a 4-jet jet engine speeds up to 31.5 knots are possible so Azzam probably is one of the fastest as well as the largest mega yachts. Equipment also includes a submarine and a missile defense system.

The oldest Royal Yacht still in service! 

This is a new 1/1250 version released by Albatros in 2017 of the Royal Danish State Yacht. Already in 1932, the Danish people donated the DANNEBROG to their royal house. Today, it still serves Queen Margaret as a private and official residence. At the same time it is a naval vessel with its own command. Over time, the yacht has been constantly modernized. The model shows her current appearance. Loa: 78.43m, Speed 13.5 knots
