Static Grass & Tufts
from Peco & Woodland Scenics.
Static grass uses a static electric charge on the grass fibres to make the fibre stand on end as it is applied to the ground, the fibre becoming fixed in this attitude as the glue dries. Using differing lengths of fibres allows grass growth to be replicated from short growth to tall wild grass, creating a far more realistic rendition of grass and farmed crops than can be achieved using basic scatter materials.Tufts allow wild grass clumps and small bushes to be added to the scene, typical of the wild growth on railway embankments where grass was rarely cut.
