The Focke-Wulf Ta 183 Huckebein project was intended to produce a jet-powered fighter aircraft to succeed to the Messerschmitt Me 262. Started in 1942 many designs were studied developing into a 40 degree swept wing layout intended to reach trans-sonic speeds. The Ta 183 had moved only as far as the wind tunnel testing of models before the end of the war, however the design was developed further in Argentina leading to the FMA IAe 33 Pulqui II.
