Completed in 1906 by Fairfields in Glasgow, she was 173.7m long and 20m wide. 14 189 GRT. Drive via 2 screws, 20 kn. Passengers:310 I.Kl., 500 2.Kl., 500 II.Kl., 210 people in the steerage deck. In 1914, sailing down the St Lawrence River in fog, the ship was rammed by the Norwegian Coal freighter "Storstedt" and sank within 15 minutes. It was the largest Shipwreck in Canada's maritime history. 1012 people were killed. Storestedt survived but was sunk during WW2.
