This vessel of 230 tons was built for commercial owners but taken over in 1787 by the Royal Navy for journeys of exploration and research. The Bounty became famous for the mutiny of its crew that rebelled against Captain William Bligh in order to return to Tahiti. The fine kit is made possible thanks to the original drawings still held by the admiralty.
The kit includes laser cut frames for keel & bulkheads, and exotic wood strip for hull planking. Also included is the wooden deck planking, masts and spars, resin and wooden fittings, silk cloth for flags. The instruction booklet is very detailed, taking you through every step of construction.
