Coastlines 1/1250 CL-0002 Waterslide transfers for British Airships, 1918-1932
A 1/1250 scale set of waterslide transfers for the British airships in service or built from 1918 to the end of airship construction following the crash of the R101. The sheet has sufficient airship insignia to complete up to 2 airships in RNAS/RAF military service plus at least one other with a civilian registration.
The RNAS/RAF roundels are Allied WW1 type with a white outer ring and are colour matched to Vallejo paints so that the red, white and blue noses can be added by hand to the models The tailfin flashes should be applied red to the stern of the airship both sides on airships entering service before 1920. For rigid airships, the large roundels were on the lower part of the hull both sides and centrally on top of the hull. The medium roundels were both sides of the top fin forward of the flashes and the small roundels were on the lower fin. Small, non-rigid airships of the North Sea type and Coastal type carried smaller roundals.
Check with photographs for the position and orientation of civilian registration letters, particularly those on top of the hull and tail.
