Chance and Hunt of Oldbury were an early entry into what we would now know as the chemicals industry, operating a range of wagons specially constructed to safely convey liquid and solid products. Salt required weather protection for transport and storage, in this case provided by a simple peak roof built onto the body following the design of a standard open goods wagon.
