Dapol O Gauge 7L-001-008 GWR Working Bracket Signal Left Hand
A detailed working model of a GWR lower quadrant signal mounted on a bracket offset to the left of the main post.
Bracket signals were used in locations where the main signal post could not be placed in the right location for good sighting by a driver. This was common at the ends of station platforms, the bracket placed the signal high overhead and close to the track while the post was set back so passengers could pass it safely.
The operating mechanism uses a servo motor in an enclosure which is fitted to the bottom of the signal post after the threaded base section has been secured through the baseboard.
