LMS design steel-ended ventilated box van, one of many thousands built by the LMS and British Railways between the 1930s and early 1950s.
Fitted with sliding doors these vans remained in service into the 1970s on traffic flows where loading dock restrictions prevented the easy opening of the swinging cupboard style doors.
