A special straight section of track which is used to complete the connection of points and crossings, especially where a diamond crossing is used. The length is also suitable for equalising track lengths where longer points like the Hornby express points are used.
This track section can be used to gain a small extra length in sidings where another standard straight will not fit in the space available.
