Designed by Daimler the Fleetline was the second rear-engine double-deck bus chassis to be produced by a British manufacturer, introduced in 1958. Merged with Leyland in 1968, the Daimler name continuing until the mid-1970s when it was replaced with Leyland brand. Birmingham City Transport, later West Midlands PTE, was the second largest Fleetline operator behind London Transport with well over 1,000, the last being withdrawn in 1997. With the help of Transport Museum, Wythall the Rapido Trains Fleetline will feature the same superb level of detail as featured on the Guy.
