Slaters Plastikard O Gauge 7C034 MR/LMS 43ft Third Class Bogie Coach Kit (diagram 490)

This kit builds a detailed model of the Midland Railway design 43 foot length full third class coach to diagram 490.
These Clayton arc roof bogie coaches remained in suburban and local passenger service throughout the LMS period, only slowly being replaced with newer stock.
Supplied with metal wheels and sprung buffers
The Midland & South Western Junction Railway purchased 16 diagram 490 coaches from the MR, adding to some almost identical coaches built for them in the late 1890s. These coaches passed to GWR ownership in 1923, the last being withdrawn in 1930.
